RNA Corporation was founded in 1983 as a Research and Development Laboratory. Initially the Company had no manufacturing capabilities. Rather, RNA formulated products, some basics, others unique and truly innovative, to meet clients’ performance or marketing objectives. Originally, we worked almost exclusively in Hair Care Products, primarily for the African American market, and subsequently for the general market as well. The letters RNA stand for “RESEARCHING NEW APPLICATIONS” of available raw materials, both synthetic and natural, for men existing, types of products. Much of what we produce today did not exist then.

With a strong foundation in basic cosmetic chemistry, it was a natural expansion for us to move into the area of Skin Care. In fact, RNA, as a Laboratory, conducted some of the primary research on Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, Botanical Extracts, and Liposomes, when most developmental technologists were just beginning to think about those ingredients.

In 1989, virtually at the insistence of two long-term R & D clients, each of whom had been disappointed by their respective fillers, RNA entered the Contract Packaging business. We began manufacturing in less than 13,000 square feet. Before the end of 1990, business had grown to the point where we needed more space, and moved into 20,000 square feet. The building in which we relocated allowed us to incrementally add additional space, as we needed, By 1995, we occupied 40,000 square feet. In 1997, needing more space than the building could provide, we moved into our current location and today occupy almost 130,000 square feet.

We believe that we have grown at the rate that we have because of two words; QUALITY and COMMITMENT QUALITY of our PEOPLE, PRODUCTS, and SERVICES and COMMITMENT to our Corporate Philosophy.

Award winning members of our Technical Staff are recognized experts in their fields. Collectively, they hold dozens of Patents, have published scores of papers and have even published recognized textbooks. In the course of their careers, our Technical staff have served as consultants to such prominent Ethnic marketers as SOFT SHEEN, JOHNSON and DUDLEY PRODUCTS as well as THE DIAL CORPORATION, SUNDOWN/ REXALL, BISSEL PRODUCTS (Beauty Care Division) in the General Market area. We are proud of the technological accomplishments made on behalf of our various clients.
